About Me

I first became interested in the power of the mind when I took a course in Transcendental Meditation (TM) in 1983. I have now been a practitioner of TM for over thirty years.

In addition to the obvious stress relieving benefits of practicing daily meditation, I found myself tapping into my creative imagination and started having lots more ideas. In 1986, after finishing my Business Studies degree, I decided to develop one of these ideas further. The idea was a board game called CUT & RUN and in 1987 I signed an international licensing agreement for it with Parker Games.

I licensed a second game, 'INCOGNITO', to Parker in 1989 and spent the next 15 years developing new ideas. In 1999 I co-invented a game called ROLAZONE, which had a sports excellence theme. The game was launched at the Science Museum in London and endorsed by David Hemery an Olympic Champion, author and sports psychologist.

My work on this game inspired me to study the subject further.
I  took a course in SFBT at the Clifton Practice in Bristol where I trained under David Newton. I qualified as a Solution Focused Brief Therapist in December 2008.

I have a Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma and a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. I am a member of The National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and the government supported Complimentary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

I have been in private practice for 9 years and have consulting rooms in Crediton, Mid Devon.

I have full Professional Liability Insurance with Towergate Professional Risks and operate under the strict code of practice as laid out by the NCH.
